This iteration of the proven engine boasts even more torque with up to 350 lb.-ft and 310 horsepower. The extra bump in the EcoBoost is all thanks to the transient overboost function, which lifts outputs on every gear change. With the optional 5.0L V8 engine, a new dual-fuel, high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure port fuel injection system translates to 460hp and increased rpm power at 420lb.-ft. The new optional 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is the best automatic in any Mustang ever.
