There are few vintage cars that are as desirable and collectible as a manual shift 1967 Mustang Fastback. This gem was an amazing find under a covered shed in the middle of Alabama. This Fastback was in pretty rough shape when originally found, but it was complete with its original drive train and interior. The Marti report disclosed this Mustang as an original red car with red interior, 289 2 BBL car with factory 3-speed manual transmission. SMG decided to restore this desirable Mustang because the parts it needed were all available and affordable. The car had its floor pans professionally replaced prior to our purchase. There were some other minor frame repairs required including the replacement of the driver side frame rail. The car has received one full quarter panel, a partial quarter panel, new hood and deck lid. Both valances have been replaced and the rear valance supports dual exhaust. The engine received a new build with some upgrades including forged pistons, high performance cam, fully balanced assembly, high performance intake manifold, new Edelbrock 4 bbl carb and headers that flow through a new, low restriction dual exhaust system with factory tips. The entire suspension system has been replaced with factory replacement parts. A completely new fuel system has been installed, including tank and fuel lines. This red beauty received all the GT appearance upgrades and badging to complement the new performance items installed on the car. This highly sought-after Mustang will be completed prior to Christmas 2018 and ready for the buyer wanting a high-performance collectable car that can be driven anywhere. The car will be completed as a high quality driver worthy to compete in any local car show. It has not been restored to trailer queen status because this car was built by Ford as a cruiser, not a museum piece. This beautiful fully restored Mustang Fastback wont be around for long. True red, with red interior, manual 3-speed trans. Original 289 engine has been completely re-built with street cam, high performance intake and 4bbl Carb. Has Marty report. Priced at $44,500.00 A discounted price incentive is available for pre-completion purchase.
