2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer 2FL. 4.2 Liter Inline 6 Cylinder, 4-Speed Automatic Trans, 4x4: This Trailblazer is Certified as being accident free by Carfax with just 2 previous owners and only 92,126 miles. This is a less often encountered 2FL model which was essentially the equivalent of an LT trim for fleet vehicles. The manufacturers RPO codes show it was made specifically for Alamo Rent-a-car who is the 1st listed owner for a grand total of just 9 months. It was sold to it's second owner with just over 10,000 miles and appears to have been well cared for since. It was registered in California for the 1st 9 months and has been in Colorado ever since. It has some nice features including keyless remote entry, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, and even a specially ordered 8 way power drivers seat that is heated as is the front passengers seat. It was outfitted from the factory according to the RPO tag with the deluxe bucket option which explains the leather interior in place of the standard cloth interior. Other niceties include Dual Zone front climate control with rear controls and vents, AM/FM/CD stereo, tire pressure monitoring, electronically selectable 4 wheel drive, cruise control, dual front-front side curtain-rear side curtain airbags, daytime running lamps, factory tinted windows, factory alarm, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS and Stabilitrak stability/traction control, and the factory towing package with hitch and wiring plus a Tekonsha trailer brake controller. The tires it rides on were made the 14th week of 2016 and are in excellent condition. The outside is in very good condition overall though there is some very light hail to be found on the hood which is reflected in the price. The interior likewise is in very good shape overall with the rear cargo area carpets being the only trouble spot per say as there is some wear through and what not. Carfax gives this Trailblazer a healthy boost in value for it's excellent service history which includes a Transmission flush and service as well as Transfer case flush and service on 12/01/2015 at 54,570 miles, 3 months later on 02/25/2016 it had the fuel injection system flushed and serviced, and on 09/10/2016 both the front and rear differentials where flushed and serviced. The transmissions, transfer case, and both differentials having been serviced fairly recently is what you want really to see on a 4 wheel drive vehicle like this and is the kind of preventative maintenance that will greatly extend the life of the driveline. The 4.2 Liter Vortec Inline 6 for those who are unfamiliar makes a whopping 291 horsepower which is only 11 less than the top 5.3 Liter V-8 that makes 302 horsepower. However the 4.2 Inline is one of the most durable engines made by any manufacturer ever and during testing 5 of these engines were run at Wide Open Throttle for 300,000 miles. That's literally running at redline for 300,000 miles with all 5 engines coming through unscathed and thus proving the durability of the engine as well as how well the cooling system functions on these engines which are notable for their unusually large cooling passages. Combine that with the excellent heat management properties of aluminum and this engines a real winner that's nearly impossible to overheat. It has passed Colorado emissions and it runs and drives great.
